Since I was a child I remember my mother and grandmother lighting a candle in the window when a family member was in need. In need does not simply mean lighting a candle for someone who is sick. The person could be doing an exam, waiting for news about a job, traveling abroad, having a child or many other things. The most important thing I learned from this action is that it is important to take time out of your day to think about people who are in need and to send positive energy to them.

What does Lighting a Candle Stand for?
For many Irish people, this tradition is instilled within us. Living abroad I still think about this act even with a busy lifestyle. The purpose of this website is to keep this tradition going even if you have a busy lifestyle. Lighting a Candle exists to those people who wish to send positive energy to people in need.
